Safer Lives Partners
Most of our careers have been spent working with men and young people in crisis and with poor emotional well-being. We formed Safer Lives in 2014 whilst working in community justice agencies to specifically work with men struggling with significant life crises.
Jenny Greensmith BSc, DipPS
Through her years in youth and community justice agencies, Jenny has supported people with their mental health difficulties and away from substance misuse, including people with dual diagnosis. In recent years she has specialised in supporting people out of harmful sexual behaviours, with training and leadership roles in Leeds Youth Offending Service.
Andy Green BA, MSc, DipPS, PGCE
With previous careers in industry and education behind him, Andy worked for 17 years in prison and community settings as a Probation Officer where he specialised in the management of men on life sentences, including managing their careful re-integration and transitions back into the community.
Rita Ashford BA, DipSW
A trained social worker, Rita retired from the National Probation Service in 2017 where she specialised in harmful sexual behaviours, She became one of the country's most acclaimed community treatment specialists before taking on team and treatment management roles.
