Unlike government agencies, we have no legal obligation or wish to break confidentiality when there is an issue of illegality or someone having thoughts of acting sexually with a child. However, we take the firm view that we would intervene to prevent actual first hand abuse of a child, and by that we mean any sexual activity with a child. If you understand this viewpoint, then we probably share the same values about child safety being paramount. But our aim is always to be supportive of our clients' wishes to live happier, healthier and productive lives.
