What is a Conditional Caution?
For less serious criminal offences, Conditional Cautions are an alternative to going to court and being prosecuted, but the offender has to comply with one or more conditions that are imposed for the purpose of punishment, reparation and rehabilitation.
Conditional Caution Services offered by Safer Lives.
We offer a number of services that can be attached to a Conditional Caution. All of our services are based around one-to-one meetings and support.
Safer Lives Programme. We have supported over 200 men on this five-session programme, including many who have attended as a part of a Conditional Caution. The programme strives to help you understand your past motivations to offend, and helps you to meet your future needs through healthy and legal means. This gives reassurance to the Police and others that you will not reoffend.
Safer Lives Plus. Many clients will only be offered a conditional caution after they have completed the Safer Lives Programme whilst under Police investigation. For these clients we offer a three session extension, that looks at how the investigation has changed things in their life and how new lifestyles and patterns of healthy sexual behaviour can be progressed and maintained.
Trust and Accountability Service. Fees apply and installation of software on all internet enabled devices is required. Police investigations shine a light on hitherto private and harmful behaviour. Trust within families is lost and future accountability is crucial to heal scars and to keep the family safe from further abuses. Safer Lives uses cutting edge software alongside face-to-face support to ensure transparency and trust building within family units. This 21st century solution is only offered by Safer Lives, and has proven to be highly effective in supporting behaviour change.
